Featuring colors and a design that evoke spiral galaxies, this High Jewelry watch harbors a secret dial at its heart. In a precious dramatization of time, the hours emerge from a hypnotic spiral, in which rows of diamonds alternate with blue, pink and mauve sapphires. Thanks to the bracelet’s openwork structure, the colored stones seem to glitter in the sky like stars.
At the center of this spectacle sparkles an oval sapphire of 8.05 carats. Its intense blue is illuminated by a surround of baguette-cut diamonds, each one specially recut to fit its final position. Overall, the piece creates a dynamic effect of perspective and movement, echoing the Tourbillon earrings, rings and bracelets created by Van Cleef & Arpels from the 1940s onwards. Over 1,600 hours of work were required to craft this new interpretation of an endlessly fascinating motif.
