The latest addition to the Ball Explorer Club is the famous pilot Brian Binnie. With its twenty year experience as naval pilot of the United States Navy, he became in 2004 the second person to win the title of astronaut onboard a non-governmental aircraft as Space Ship One shuttle pilot. Today, space tourism has become a reality thanks to Brian Binnie. In 2011, this extreme Pilot will be taking the Space Ship Two shuttle with seven passengers onboard to an altitude of more than 100 km. At that distance, the earth is a horizon separated from the blackness of space by a thin blue ribbon.
As a tribute to the spirit of pushing the boundaries of its ambassador, Ball Watch has developed an exceptional timepiece: the “Engineer Hydrocarbon Spacemaster Orbital”. This model combines aesthetic features, precision, reliability and shock resistance to the revolutionary Amortiser© Rotor-Lock Mechanism that secures the Chronograph in free falls up to 5,2 Meters.
