The independent Swiss watchmaker lends its support to a new fixture on the international showjumping calendar, set to make its debut at the Accor Arena on 2 December 2026.

CORUM is the Main Partner of Horse GP Paris, an international CSI 5* showjumping competition bringing together the world’s top 40 horse-and-rider combinations. Just months after its international relaunch, the Maison is making its debut in equestrian sport, a natural extension of its sport-chic positioning. The partnership brings together two disciplines that share a commitment to precision, technical mastery and timeless elegance.

Horse GP Paris introduces a world-first concept: it brings the competitive format and excitement of Formula 1 and MotoGP to showjumping. The brainchild of Christophe Ameeuw, founder of the Gucci Masters and later the Longines Masters of Paris, the event will be headlined by an Olympic-level FEI CSI 5* Grand Prix offering €1 million in prize money. The programme at the Accor Arena on Wednesday 2  December 2026 unfolds over two sessions, in the afternoon and evening:

• 14:00 Opening performance by the Cadre Noir de Saumur, featuring an exceptional display of horsemanship.

• 16:00 The Sprint: a speed competition over 1.50-metre fences to determine the starting order for the Grand Prix.

• 20:00 The Grand Prix de Paris: the world’s top 40 riders compete over 1.60-metre fences.

• 22:30 The After Show: a concert featuring an international artist.

Timeless elegance, from the paddock to the city

Showjumping is arguably one of the most elegant of all elite sports. Tailored jackets, ties, polished boots and impeccably turned-out horses go hand in hand with physical exertion, speed and risk-taking. There is nothing ostentatious about it: elegance comes from precision of movement and the harmony between horse and rider, two athletes working as one.

It is an approach to elegance that CORUM has cultivated since 1955. Its watches move just as effortlessly between sporting attire and everyday dress. With its twelve-sided bezel and nautical pennants, the Admiral is equally at home in the showjumping arena, in the city, at the office or on an evening out. The Golden Bridge and Coin Watch, among others, also express a bold, instantly recognisable identity that transcends passing fashions. From the paddock to the post-competition dinner, a CORUM watch accompanies every hour of the day, just as Horse GP moves seamlessly from competition to spectacle and concert.

Men and women on the same starting line

Equestrian sport occupies a unique place in elite competition. Women and men compete alongside one another, in the same events, over the same courses and for the same titles, right up to Olympic level. On 2 December, when the Grand Prix de Paris gets under way, it will all come down to the clock and the fences.

This equality echoes CORUM’s own history. Since its foundation, the Maison has always given men’s and women’s collections equal prominence in its catalogue. Its women’s watches are not simply smaller versions of men’s models: they embody the same creative audacity and the same exacting standards of watchmaking. Horse GP thus offers CORUM a platform that brings its male and female audiences together on equal terms.

CORUM, a Swiss watchmaker relaunched in 2026

Founded in 1955 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, a cradle of Swiss watchmaking recognised by UNESCO, CORUM has made its name through uncompromising creativity. The Maison owes its reputation to creations that have become icons: the Golden Bridge, Bubble, Admiral and Coin Watch.

In 2025, CORUM returned to 100% Swiss ownership and independence through a management buyout led by Haso Mehmedovic, who joined the Maison as a watchmaker in 2011. He took over the brand and its manufacture, together with all its collections and archives. Now CEO and Chairman of the Board, he has set a clear course: to restore CORUM to its rightful place among the leading names in Swiss watchmaking.

The official relaunch took place on 1 April 2026 at the Maison’s historic headquarters in La Chaux-de- Fonds. CORUM unveiled 11 new Admiral references, featuring a redesigned case, new dials, an integrated bracelet and a new in-house calibre developed with Concepto. This renewed momentum is also reflected in carefully selected partnerships, of which Horse GP Paris is the most visible expression.

In their own words

“Showjumping and watchmaking share a fundamental truth: everything comes down to hundredths of a second, and nothing can be left to chance. Horse GP Paris brings fresh energy to a sport defined by elegance, just as we have been doing at CORUM since our relaunch. And it is a sport in which men and women compete on equal terms, just as our collections have always reflected that equality,” says Haso Mehmedovic, CEO and Chairman of CORUM.

“We wanted a partner for Horse GP who shared our boldness and our commitment to excellence. CORUM is an independent, creative watchmaker that has successfully reinvented itself. That is the very spirit of this inaugural edition,” comments Christophe Ameeuw, founder of Horse GP.
