Gucci

Gucci focuses on strengthening the values upon which its enviable reputation has been founded: utmost quality, made in Italy and fashion authority.

About

For a century, Gucci has been at the cutting edge of luxury. Established in 1921, it breaks boundaries in fashion and trends with designs that embrace Italian extravagance. The Florence-based house has put its stamp on collections of leather goods, ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories, jewellery, beauty products, fragrance and home decor. Watches were a natural addition to this 360° offering with sleekly designed timepieces as from 1972. Gucci grabbed the quartz revolution with both hands so as to free watches from conventional shapes and styles, before gradually exploring mechanical watchmaking. Creative director since 2015, Alessandro Michele now leads the stylistic adventures of this most celebrated of brands.

Philosophy

Swiss precision meets Italian flair and nonconformism: Gucci watches are all this and more. The brand doesn’t hesitate to explore every segment, from casual to sport-luxe to the dive watch. A more recent introduction, high watchmaking creations house rare and precious complications such as a Tourbillon or a Jumping Hour, as well as a movement with micro-rotor winding. Creative, precise, sometimes highly technical and always remarkable, Gucci watches span a wide range of prices, case sizes and complications. Their unmistakable Italian DNA is evident in symbols, stones and colours that collectors will recognise at a glance. Playful or complex, a Gucci watch is always unique.

Collections

Gucci 25H Automatic

Sleek lines inspired by modern architecture invent a new take on high watchmaking. The GUCCI 25H collection revisits traditional watchmaking tropes with the virtuosity of a century-old Italian firm. Gucci was instrumental in defining twentieth-century style and the GUCCI 25H collection transposes this sensitivity to the exactingness and precision of Swiss-Made. With a case that is neither round nor octagonal but takes the best of both, the GUCCI 25H collection is manifestly a superlative sports-luxe watch.

Gucci dive

Who said a dive watch had to be a boring tool watch? Certainly not the Gucci Dive. This stylish alternative takes the traditional features of a dive watch and runs with them. Alongside models geared for underwater and marine activities, the Gucci Dive riffs on the iconic green and red stripes, the tiger and snake symbols, rubber and steel. For soaking in the sea… and soaking up the sun.

G-Timeless Automatic

Three hands and a round case: the G-Timeless is Gucci’s very own version of the traditional Swiss-Made watch. Presented on a steel bracelet or a fabric strap, it reveals the workings of its automatic movement through a sapphire case back. The bee, a recurring symbol in the collection, embellishes dials and straps in delightful, spontaneous executions. The quintessence of the watch as a fashion accessory.

Grip

A fashion icon, Gucci doesn’t follow fashion, preferring to stay ahead of the curve. Enter the Grip, a truly innovative creation whose name suggests not just the snug fit of the watch on the wrist, but also sneakers gripping the adhesive tape on a skateboard deck. Featuring an original display of hours, minutes and date on rotating disks in apertures, the Grip plays along with the retro trend with just the right amount of impertinence. The result is subtle, elegant and off the beaten track.

High Watchmaking

For the fiftieth anniversary of Gucci Swiss Timepieces, the Florentine brand has introduced its second high watchmaking collection. Among these very limited series, Gucci gives its rendition of the skeleton with a GUCCI 25H whose mechanism encloses a precious tourbillon, its every secret revealed inside an astonishingly modern architecture. As for the G-Timeless Planetarium, it explores a heavenly circle of precious stones that springs to life at the press of a pusher, concealed in the crown. The delightfully poetic moon phase display of the G-Timeless Moonlight is driven by the in-house GGV838.MP calibre. Meanwhile, the Grip Sapphire reveals all in a 100% sapphire case. The design shouts out to Seventies quartz watches while a Gucci monogram at 12 signals the watch’s exclusive nature. Last and not least, the G-Timeless Dancing Bees scatters dancing bees across a delicate opal marquetry.
