Auction to be Hosted at Phillips New York on December 5th, 2026

Today, New York non-profit Swiss Institute (SI) unveiled the complete collection of the third edition of TimeForArt – the first-ever and only benefit watch auction dedicated to supporting contemporary art. Following two acclaimed editions that galvanized the global watch and art communities, the auction returns in partnership with Phillips as part of The New York Watch Auction: XV on December 5th, 2026 at 3pm EST.

Since its inaugural edition in 2022, TimeForArt has established itself as a singular platform at the intersection of horology, contemporary art, and philanthropy – cementing and growing its position as a defining charitable initiative within the watch and art worlds.

Across its first two editions, TimeForArt has brought together exceptional timepieces from the world’s foremost watchmakers while delivering significant philanthropic impact, raising $2.4 million for Swiss Institute. With 100% of the proceeds from the watch auction, including Phillips’ Buyer’s Premium, benefiting Swiss Institute, TimeForArt directly supports today’s most visionary artists through the organization’s innovative exhibitions, public programs, education initiatives, and community engagement workshops in New York and beyond.

This year, with its largest edition yet, TimeForArt reunites with Phillips and brings together 26 participating watch brands, spanning cutting-edge independent watchmakers and internationally acclaimed luxury brands. The one-of-a- kind timepieces curated for TimeForArt highlight the most artistic dimensions of contemporary watchmaking, foregrounding the creative heart of modern horology.

Guided by the spirit of artists for artists, the featured watches are unique, specially made for TimeForArt, and include collaborations with internationally renowned artisans, interventions by leading contemporary artists, and bespoke examples of groundbreaking craftsmanship – underscoring the enduring dialogue between artistic practice and watchmaking innovation.

Extending TimeForArt’s vision to bridge the worlds of art and horology beyond the auction, Swiss Institute recently introduced the TimeForArt Club, an exclusive community for collectors, patrons, and aficionados. Offering privileged access to curated events, artist-led encounters, and intimate conversations, the TimeForArt Club cultivates meaningful connections among its members while providing vital support for Swiss Institute.

In the fall of 2026, a selection from the collection will be showcased globally at a series of preview events held in partnership with Phillips. The lots will be sold consecutively during a dedicated chapter as part of the upcoming New York watch auction at Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo. Bidders will have the opportunity to bid in person during the live auction at 432 Park Avenue, bid over the phone with a Phillips specialist, or place bids in advance. The auction will also be livestreamed, allowing collectors to bid in real-time online.

“TimeForArt has established itself as a meaningful platform bringing together the worlds of contemporary art, watchmaking, and philanthropy. With each edition, we are inspired anew by the extraordinary creativity and generosity of the participating watchmakers, whose embrace of experimentation directly supports Swiss Institute’s commitment to artists and the broader cultural community. We are delighted to collaborate once again with Phillips, whose expertise and deep engagement with watch collectors and the art world make them an exceptional partner in presenting these remarkable timepieces to a global audience.” Stefanie Hessler, Director of Swiss Institute

“With its third edition, TimeForArt has evolved into a dynamic space for exchange between watchmaking and contemporary art. It has been incredibly rewarding to see participating watch brands approach the initiative with such curiosity, bringing their distinctive perspectives and creative languages to the project, while collectors from the art world deepen their engagement with watches. Each timepiece offers an opportunity to push boundaries and discover new forms of expression at the intersection of art, design, and watchmaking.” Mojdeh Cutter, Director of Partnerships & TimeForArt, Swiss Institute

"Phillips is honored to have been entrusted once again to host the groundbreaking TimeForArt sale. Following the success of the inaugural edition four years ago, the importance of this philanthropic initiative has been made all the more clear by the wonderful generosity shown by this year's group of prestigious brands. Celebrating the intersection of art and horology, TimeForArt plays a vital role in Swiss Institute's important goals of supporting artists and furthering art education.” Paul Boutros, Phillips’ Deputy Chairman and Head of Watches, Americas

The 26 participating brands will present:

ALTO

A unique expression of ALTO’s one-of-a-kind artistic savoir-faire; sculpted stone marquetry.

Anoma

Anoma creates wearable sculptures inspired by the rich world beyond watchmaking. The A2 takes its inspiration from the Möbius strip, a geometric form that spirals endlessly back into itself. Spirals appear throughout the natural and built worlds, from galaxies and flowing water to shells and staircases. Their continuous movement also evokes the notion of infinity and the passage of time. This unique version of the A2, created for TimeForArt, offers a singular interpretation of the original concept.

Atelier Wen

A pièce unique Atelier Wen Ancestra featuring an intricate hardstone marquetry in a celebratory composition.

Baltic

A unique manually wound chronograph BALTIC Experiments "Stepgraph" prototype in tantalum, featuring a blue mother-of-pearl dial set with lab-grown diamond indexes.

Bremont

A unique timepiece celebrating Bremont's iconic Terra Nova 'montres à guichet' jumping hour caliber, fusing a frosted case in striking Blue Night PVD 904L steel with a joyful interpretation of watchmaking and the uncompromising capability of a true tool watch.

Bvlgari

A unique timepiece uniting Bvlgari’s Italian roots with its Swiss watchmaking expertise through the natural beauty of marble.

Chanel

A unique timepiece in matte black ceramic featuring an in-house flying tourbillon movement, a titanium lion head sculpture and a highly graphical malachite dial.

Chopard

A unique Alpine Eagle 41 XP featuring a one-of-a-kind hand-engraved gold dial depicting an eagle’s wing in full flight, demonstrating Chopard’s exceptional artistic craftsmanship and elevating the collection’s nature-inspired aesthetic to new heights.

Czapek x Guillaume Dénervaud

The 'Artists & Artisans - N.2' features a mother-of-pearl dial hand-painted in oil by Swiss artist Guillaume Dénervaud and executed by Metalem in Le Locle, Switzerland, with a softly glowing, sky-blue metal base. Its deep blue comes from a discontinued 1970s manganese oxide pigment, once used in microelectronics and now reimagined in a mechanical watch. The organic paint marks invite personal interpretations, like a Rorschach test. This unique piece is housed in steel and powered by Czapek's in-house SXH5 caliber.

Dennison

Established in 1874, Dennison has a long and distinguished history in British watchmaking, having become one of the major case makers of the 20th century and creating cases for some of the most respected names in horology. The Dennison legacy was revived in 2023 by Toby Sutton and Stephane Cheikh, with the creative vision of renowned watch designer Emmanuel Gueit, bringing the spirit of the original house into a new era.

Felipe Pikullik

A unique expression of the FPA1, bringing together a skeletonized and heat-blued dial, traditional hand-finishing, and the architectural beauty of Felipe Pikullik’s own developed caliber.

Gerald Charles x Igor Mitoraj

A unique timepiece where Igor Mitoraj's sculptural language meets the architectural design legacy of Mr. Gérald Charles Genta.

Hermès

Arceau Faubourg Party, one-of-a-kind timepiece paying tribute to Hermès’ historical address – 24-Faubourg St- Honoré store – through miniature enamel savoir-faire.

Maurice Lacroix x Ficus Interfaith

The 1975 Manufacture Skeleton, developed with New York-based artist duo Ficus Interfaith, brings together art and watchmaking in a unique collaboration. Its handmade terrazzo dial, crafted from iridescent mother-of-pearl and epoxy resin, is paired with the ML234 skeleton movement, which is visible through the sapphire caseback.

MING x Jason Anderson

A prototype set accompanied by a large MING traveling case and a unique set of three Jason Anderson prints, signed by the artist.

Perrelet x The Dial Artist

Perrelet’s LAB PERIPHERAL meets The Dial Artist’s vision, transforming its distinctive architecture into a vibrant expression of color in motion.

Simon Brette x Anita Porchet

For TimeForArt 2026, Anita Porchet and Simon Brette bring their artistic worlds together through a work where horological precision meets the poetry of Grand Feu enamel.

Toledano & Chan

Oshinobi (お忍び) is the Japanese word for a person of high rank travelling incognito. The watch lives up to its name; two carats of snow-set diamonds, hidden beneath a sandblasted titanium brutalist exterior. Think of it as horological lingerie. Only you know what you’re wearing. A diamond watch for the world as it is now – one you can actually wear in public.
