"Why celebrate 24 years and not a quarter-century?" is a question I've heard several times

Let's just say that with a name like GMT – one of the three most popular functions (according to MB&D Consulting's recent study) and a reference in all 24 time zones – it's an unmissable anniversary, especially as it falls in 2024. Let's stick with the numbers and talk about dozens: get ready to browse through 15 dozen pages featuring a new look. Sincere thanks to Camille and Marie, who have given GMT a revamped layout for its latest anniversary and supported our graphic studio ETC Design in this subtle makeover. As part of the celebrations, we're also organizing GMT's first Décid'Heures Cocktails for watch industry movers and shakers, as well as a big party during Watches and Wonders. We are dedicating the 2024 volume of The Millennium Watch Book to travel watches and also publishing the results of a highly ambitious survey of trends and challenges in luxury watchmaking conducted by our partner M&BD Consulting – of which we share a summary in this issue. On an equally remarkable note, we are unveiling the latest Fine Watch Club collaboration, a limited series of 24 Carrera Twin-Time GMTs, arguably the most limited in the history of TAG Heuer – whose teams we thank for their trust and enthusiasm.

The highlight of the watchmaking calendar is of course not GMT's anniversary, but rather the 2024 edition of Watches and Wonders, to which we devote our main feature. Geneva has never seen so many watch exhibitors spread across the halls of Palexpo or the four corners of the city. What are the trends, who are the newcomers, what new releases await you? A fine selection awaits you and an even wider range is yours to browse on our partner site WorldTempus. Nicolas Bos (Van Cleef & Arpels) and Thierry Stern (Patek Philippe) give us two fascinating exclusive interviews, so hold your breath. We're pretty sure we'll plenty of puff next year to blow out the candles on our quarter-century anniversary!

As a WorldTempus reader, we are delighted to offer you the digital version of this GMT Magazine, that you can download here.
