About me
Simon de Burton is a freelance journalist and author whose articles about cars, motorcycles, boats and (of course) watches appear in publications such as the Financial Times, the Daily Telegraph, The Times and (more occasionally) the New York Times and the Australian Financial Review. Along with Gianpiero Negretti he co-authored the official history of Officine Panerai and was a major contributor to 'Ultimate Collector Watches' published in 2025 by Taschen. Simon also authored the New Motorcycle Year Book series; Classic Cars, a Century of Masterpieces and 'Aston Martin Bulldog' about the unique hypercar of the late 1970s. He lives in Devon, South West England.
