Girard-Perregaux, iconic luxury Swiss watch brand, was proud to partner with Relais & Châteaux for their Grand Chefs Dinner on April 16, 2012 at the Gotham Hall in New York City.

Organized on the initiative of Jaume Tàpies, this Black Tie dinner gathered over 45 international Grands Chefs to celebrate the finest products of America and the Art de Vivre. Around 400 guests tasted unique dishes created by the Grands Chefs and were paired with exceptional champagne. During the evening, Girard-Perregaux honored Mr. Zagat for the Zagat's contribution to the development of the grand restaurants and most importantly to the art de vivre in general. He was presented him with the brand's iconic Girard-Perregaux 1966 timepiece.

“We are proud to partner with Relais & Châteaux on this unique culinary event”, says Michele Sofisti, CEO of Sowind Group (Girard-Perregaux and JeanRichard). “The Grands Chefs that participated in this event are artisans who use produce for their art in the same way that Girard-Perregaux uses small mechanical pieces in the making of the intricate movements for each of its timepieces. They are both crafts that reach not the heart, but rather, the soul of people”.
The Relais & Châteaux featured guests such as, Elizabeth Olsen, Coco Rocha and husband James Conran and more.
The Girard-Perregaux 1966 watch is a model with a timeless, elegant and discrete design; a classic in terms of shape and function true to the Brand's manufacture tradition of 221 years. This collection is named in honor of the Neuchatel Observatory Centenary Prize awarded to Girard-Perregaux in 1966 and also to pay tribute to the many innovations of the Brand.
