GQ Readers and a jury of experts have once again selected the most beautiful men's wristwatches of the year. In the Bayerischer Hof hotel in Munich last Tuesday the winning models for 2015 and their makers were honoured with the "GQ Time Awards" at a festive event.
Eight new models from 2015 were honoured, in the following categories: Entry Level Watch, Sports Watch, Dress Watch, Wearable, along with Innovation, Chronograph, Design and Engagement. The „Senator Observer“ model from Glashütte Original—a modern interpretation of historic observation watches—won a convincing victory in the "Design" category. Christina Hentschel, Vice President Marketing, Glashütte Original, was on hand to accept the prize, with great pride, on behalf of the Saxon manufactory.
The model, which premiered in 2015, convinced both the expert jury and the GQ readership with its clear and functional design, superb legibility even under poor lighting conditions, and its finely finished automatic movement.
