IWC Schaffhausen is supporting the BFI London Film Festival for the third year.

This year, IWC is launching a Bursary in support of British Filmmakers, designed to give the UK’s brightest and best new and emerging filmmakers the gift of time – a crucial element in the creative process. Additionally, a UK exclusive timepiece celebrating the partnership will also be launched in July. The limited edition watch will have a special strap colour and feature a bespoke engraving on the case back.

The IWC Schaffhausen Filmmaker Bursary Award in association with the BFI is an award of £50,000 presented to an outstanding British writer, director or writer/director whose first or second feature-length fiction film is premiering at the BFI London Film Festival. It will be awarded annually, demonstrating the steadfast support of IWC for British filmmaking and forming a key part of the BFI festival’s commitment to UK film and those who drive its creative success.

The recipient of the Award will be receiving their prize at the IWC Gala Dinner in honour of the BFI to be held on 4 October 2016, the evening before the festival’s Opening Night. This year, the 60th Edition of the Festival will run from 5th to 16th October 2016.
