The Asian watchmaking scene was thrilled by the presentation in Macao (25-26 September) and Hong Kong (28-29 September) of the 84 watches in the running for the 2023 edition of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG). These exhibitions, offering a unique panorama of contemporary watchmaking, were organised in partnership with Tatler GMT and Wristcheck as part of TIMELESS Watch Week

“Tatler GMT is delighted to partner with The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève to celebrate the best of watchmaking. We are excited to bring the region’s most influential watch experts, collectors and enthusiasts together to connect and discover the GPHG 2023 nominated watches at TIMELESS events in Macao and Hong Kong.” said Michel Lamunière, Chairman & CEO of Tatler Asia.

The public, watchmaking enthusiasts and professionals alike turned out in force for the debates and events organised to mark these two events respectively held at the Londoner Macao and the Landmark in Hong Kong.

"We are delighted to accompany the launch of this new watch week in Macao and Hong Kong by presenting the 84 watches nominated for 2023, and to play our part in highlighting the art of watchmaking” said Carine Maillard, Director of the GPHG Foundation.

After Macao and Hong Kong, the nominated watches will travel to Malaysia, where they will be exhibited for the first time in Kuala Lumpur from 4 to 8 October 2023 in partnership with The Hour Glass.

These timepieces are in the running for one of 20 distinctions, including the “Aiguille d'Or” Grand Prix, to be handed out on 9 November in Geneva at the 23rd GPHG awards ceremony, broadcast live on gphg.org at 6PM CET.
