It was another evening to remember at the Planet OMEGA exhibition on Friday, as Daniel Craig made a special guest appearance at the showcase in New York

Following Thursday’s Opening Night event with Nicole Kidman, Daniel was the latest OMEGA ambassador to visit the display, now on at the Chelsea Factory.

Planet OMEGA brings the Swiss brand’s renowned watchmaking history to life, with a line-up of iconic timepieces from past and present. Open until November 19, it’s a chance to experience OMEGA’s rich DNA, with six unique areas dedicated to Sport and Olympic Games, Space, Ocean, James Bond, Friends, and Precision.

Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA, was also at the cocktail event, and showed Daniel through the exhibition. He said, “We can’t talk about OMEGA without mentioning James Bond. The spy has been wearing our watches since 1995, so I’m delighted that Daniel could be here today. During his five 007 films, he’s really helped to highlight the precision, style, and reliability of OMEGA, and he’s even been a part of our design process.”

Daniel Craig has been an OMEGA ambassador ever since he took the role of James Bond for Casino Royale in 2006. During his visit to the Planet OMEGA exhibition, he was able to see many of the most recognisable Seamaster models that have appeared in over 25 years of films. That includes the very Seamaster Diver 300M he recently wore in No Time To Die – a movie prop that is on loan from the OMEGA Museum in Switzerland.

Speaking at the event in New York, Daniel said, “I’ve long admired OMEGA’s timeless designs, and I love how this exhibition shows the authentic connection between their vintage watches and their latest models. It’s a perfect way to demonstrate the unique essence of the brand.”

The Planet OMEGA exhibition is filled with watches and stories from across the decades. Some of the highlights to see up close include other James Bond models, such as the Seamaster Diver 300M from The World Is Not Enough in 1999, as well as the animated 60th anniversary edition that was launched last year.

The exhibition will remain open to the public from November 10 – 19, from Monday to Sunday, 11am to 7pm, at the Chelsea Factory, 547 W 26th Street. Visitors are encouraged to book their place in advance.
