Sunday 2 October 2016, Found and 2014 Longines World’s Best Jockey Ryan Moore crossed first the finishing line of the 2,400-metre Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe in Chantilly. This is the second victory of the British jockey at this legendary horserace. The ten thousands of spectators attended a truly thrilling race day, of which Longines is the Official Partner, Timekeeper and Watch. The Swiss watch brand was also presenting the Prix de l’Opéra Longines, a 2000 meter race reserved for thoroughbred fillies and mares, which was won by Speedy Boarding ridden by Freddie Tylicki.
The Longines Master Collection was the event’s Official Watch. This timepiece features a refined silvered dial with a chronograph and moonphase display, as well as a stainless steel case with a transparent case back that reveals a self-winding mechanical movement.
For the sixth time, Longines offered its timekeeping expertise to the races held during the week-end of 1-2 October. This week-end was filled with tradition, elegance and performance, values that are shared by both these high-level races and the Swiss watch brand. Besides, this unique horseracing event earned its worldwide reputation receiving the prestigious Longines World’s Best Horse Race award, which was presented for the first time by the IFHA and Longines in January 2016.
