For any boat enthusiast, whether sailing or motor, it is instead an extraordinary opportunity to experience the very best of the boating world, see what is being done at the highest level, discover the current state of the art, and measure what human expertise can produce at its most accomplished for going out on the water. There is no need to buy to have the right to dream, find inspiration or gather information. Between the yachts on display, the equipment manufacturers, naval architecture and design agencies present, the show offers over four days a unique concentration in the world of what is known, with all the elegance befitting the term, as luxury yachting.
Motor superyachts will of course be omnipresent. Oceanco’s Leviathan, 111 metres, the largest boat at the show, Lürssen’s Nixie, 102 metres, or Sanlorenzo’s Silver Fox (73.4 m) will be the stars of the event. Italian shipyards will also make the headlines, with the new Riva 54 Metri flagship, Overmarine’s highly spectacular Mangusta 165 REV or Benetti’s B.Now 50M. Damen Yachting will present its giants Pangea (80 m) and QU2 (60 m), while Princess (X90, X95), Azimut (30 and 44m), Baglietto (Fast50, T60), Tankoa (51 and 45m) as well as Gulf Craft (Majesty 145) and the Lagoon EIGHTY 3 catamaran will remind us that luxury also comes in more accessible sizes and according to very diverse sailing philosophies.
Good news for sailing enthusiasts, the 2026 edition gives pride of place to this ancestral but green and therefore resolutely modern means of propulsion. The Simena, a 62-metre hybrid ketch by Ares Yachts, will display its classic elegance. We will also come across Nautor Swan’s Swan 128 Raijin as well as the Grand Soleil 80. But it may be the multihulls that will be most prominent in this sector with the unveiling of the brand-new Sunreef 100 and numerous constructions underway whose first images will be officially revealed in the Principality. These include the Baltic 107, the first catamaran ever launched by Finnish shipyard Baltic Yachts (32.9 m, delivery 2027), and the Fountaine Pajot Yachts 120, a 36m sailing or motor catamaran, which inaugurates the Rochelais group’s new large yacht division. All are proof that large luxury multihulls have never been so ambitious, nor so varied in their architectural approaches.
Another new feature for 2026, the Designer Gallery replaces the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub. Fourteen renowned agencies, such as Espen Oeino, Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design, VPLP Design, Pininfarina, Philippe Briand, Frers Design, Hoek Design and Van Oossanen, will exhibit side by side, as close as possible to the yachts, for direct discussions on naval architecture, interiors and the aesthetic choices shaping the yachting of tomorrow. Right next door, the MYS Immersive Experience by VBH allows visitors to immerse themselves virtually in projects still on the drawing board. Add to this the equipment manufacturers’ aisles, where innovations often emerge (hybrid engines, composite materials, more economical propulsion solutions) that will subsequently spread throughout the boating world, from the largest yacht to the most modest cruising sailboat, and it becomes clear that the show is also a dive into the world of design, engineering and applied ecology.
This is the true uniqueness of the Monaco Yacht Show, a unique concentration of expertise, dreams, discoveries and innovations, brought together in an exceptional setting. The Principality is also perfectly suited to complementary visits or activities before or after the show, for yourself or your other half, between the Oceanographic Museum, the old town, the casino and Michelin-starred gastronomy. And Monaco remains surprisingly easy to access with Nice International Airport and the TGV station nearby. Finally, the hotel infrastructure of the Principality and the surrounding countryside offers a range of solutions, each more appealing than the next. A legendary location, an exceptional setting, flawless organisation, it will be difficult to resist the attraction of a stopover in Monaco from September 23 to 26.
