This win follows the recent success of Greubel Forsey's Quadruple Tourbillon as “Best Complicated watch” at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie Asia 2009 that took place in Singapore last September.
The “Technique”, is the latest timepiece released from the workshops of the brand based in La Chaux-de-Fonds. It uses Robert Greubel's and Stephen Forsey's first invention the Double Tourbillon 30° and is a superlative expression of the mystery and sophistication of Haute Horlogerie.
This ingenious mechanism is the result of years of research pushing through the technical constraints to guarantee more precision and yet exhibiting an audacious architecture. The four co-axial barrels which enables 120 hours of power reserve distinguishes this timepiece from the original Double Tourbillon 30°.
The Inventors Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey have given a contemporary, pure and noble design to this timepiece which enables the viewer to completely delve right into the movement of the watch. There is no more secrets and no more mystery as all the specific features and details of this mechanism are visible. This also serves to the authentic character of this timepiece as with all the other Greubel Forsey's creations.
