The ever-evolving and thus consistently current watchmaking vision pursued by the Maison Hermès is now enshrined in an exceptional object embodying a rare set of skills governed by time, precision and patience. The latter quality is vividly demonstrated by the master-watchmaker who has crafted its mechanical self-winding movement.

This fine craftsmanship is in turn magnified by the work of the master-engraver who has sculpted a horseman and his mount from a block of natural mother-of-pearl. He then placed this openworked motif on a polished stone of petrified wood, thereby revealing the delicate and poetic landscape of this mineral.

Renowned for its ability to explore new ways of wearing timepieces, Hermès is elegantly reviving the discreet elegance of the pocket-watch. Whether suspended from a slim leather cord strap or enclosed if one so wishes within a pouch made from the same leather, the Arceau Pocket “Duc Attelé” admirably reveals the brand's signature spirit and expertise by capturing and slipping time into its pocket...
