Nicolas Baretzki, a graduate of HEC Paris business school, has spent his entire career within the Richemont group, putting in eight years with Cartier followed by nearly twelve at Jaeger-LeCoultre, before joining Montblanc. 

He began working for Cartier in 1994 as marketing director for Cartier South-East Asia, before moving to Cartier International as sales director. In 2002 he joined Jaeger-LeCoultre as head of global sales, reporting to CEO Jérôme Lambert, whom he followed to Montblanc in 2013.

Nicolas Baretzki was appointed global sales director for Montblanc, where he was responsible for all the company’s products and markets (22 subsidiaries) and all its networks (distribution, retail, travel retail and e-commerce). On 1 April 2017 he succeeded Jérôme Lambert (who was given greater responsibility within the Richemont group) as CEO. As well as the company’s Swiss watchmaking concerns, he oversees the company’s writing instruments, leather goods, accessories, perfumes and eyewear divisions.
