The Excalibur has found its master
With an imposing physique to match his character and a volcanic temperament, the Scottish actor Gerard Butler is one of the big screen's leading personalities.
In 2011, his attention was caught by an Excalibur watch. Since that moment, Gerard Butler has kept the faith with Geneva watchmaker Roger Dubuis and enjoys showing off this watch that is so like him, one of the Warrior world. Intrigued by this Maison that shared so many of his values, he sought to discover more.
The spell really took hold after a tour of the Roger Dubuis Manufacture. “I'm blown away”, said Butler, on discovering the world of fine watchmaking and its most arcane secrets. The innovation, passion and creativity at Roger Dubuis were what struck him most during his visit, where he had a glimpse of all stages in the watchmaking process, with every step performed in-house by the Geneva company. Gerard Butler ended his tour with a long look at the Manufacture's current models, particularly the Excalibur and La Monégasque collections.

A modern aventurer
Just like the character he played in the film "Largo Winch" alongside Sharon Stone, the French actor Tomer Sisley is a charming adventurer with plenty of punch. He does not like doing things the generally accepted way and when shooting an action scene he performs his own stunts.
He discovered Roger Dubuis on October 21 , 2011 at the launch of La Monégasque in Monaco. "I liked its world, its values, and the way it drops a rock into the calm waters of Fine Watchmaking. This side of Roger Dubuis really appeals to me." This meeting of the minds between the actor and the brand led to Tomer Sisley starring in the "Pulsion" film, giving a great performance as a contemporary adventurer.
The magic worked again when he visited the Manufacture in January 2012. "I was very impressed by their search for perfection. Pieces with even miscroscopic scratches are rejected and the smallest component has as much importance as a diamond. When you wear a watch like the Pulsion you've got genius on your wrist, produced by hours of work from one man or a team and by the magic of materials. And I'm really fascinated by the intelligence that has gone into a tourbillon."
