Just two days after being presented with a one-of-a-kind TAG Heuer Monaco timepiece, especially designed and engraved with personalized markings, Max Verstappen wins the 78th Monaco Grand Prix in the Principality after a dominant performance ahead of Carlos Sainz Jr. and Lando Norris on the podium.

Max Verstappen’s second season win and his first at the Monaco circuit marks an exciting closing to a successful weekend for the Red Bull Racing Honda Team as well as for the longstanding partner of racing in the Principality, TAG Heuer . As a result of this incredible result, Max Verstappen takes the lead in the 2021 Formula 1 Driver Standings for the first time in his career. As Official Watch of the Monaco Grand Prix since 2011, TAG Heuer was honoured to be back in Monaco to celebrate the legendary race and highlight of the Formula 1 season.

With celebratory events throughout the legendary F1 weekend and the unveiling of its new Special Edition timepiece, TAG Heuer reaffirms once again its longstanding friendship with Monaco and the Formula 1 Grand Prix – as well as the Red Bull Racing Honda Team of which TAG Heuer has been a partner since 2016. The iconic square-shaped chronograph, created in 1969, named after the glamourous race and brought to the big screen by Steve McQueen in his 1971 movie Le Mans, symbolizes the brand’s love for speed and its deeply-rooted racing spirit. In this new special edition revealed this weekend, the case was reimagined in ultra-lightweight and robust titanium with a striking silver dial and black sub counters,on a novel anthracite leather strap with a texture recalling the grooves of race car tires.
