Prestige watchmaker Glashütte Original celebrated the opening of its new boutique in Shanghai on June 28. The new store in the luxury shopping landmarks of Shanghai‘s Xin Tian Di Area is the second mono-brand boutique from Glashütte Original in China, following the successful opening of the first based in the Oriental Shopping Mall in Beijing.
The new boutique is now open for business and features Glashütte Original's vast collection of exclusively fine timepieces, as well as a welcoming staff to educate and guide customers through the full Glashütte Original experience. The new store represents the sixth mono-brand boutique by the Saxon watchmaking company and heralds a period of growth and expansion for the company.
In the presence of Mr. Yann Gamard, Managing Director of Glashütte Original, Ms. Susan Chen, President of The Swatch Group China, Mr. Jeff Wang, Brand Manager of Glashütte Original China, Mrs. Carrie Liu, Commercial General Manager of Shui on development limited, the new boutique was officially inaugurated at 4:00 pm.
As a special guest of honor, Mrs. Carrie Liu, Commercial General Manager of Shui on development limited, also attended the official opening and participated in the ceremonious cutting of the ribbon. Selected media representatives from Shanghai were invited to attend this special event followed by a tour through the new boutique, media interviews, and a dinner.
The opening of the boutique in Shanghai is part of a global roll-out plan of the new design concept of the German watch manufacturer. With its carefully selected materials, stylish furniture and display cabinets as well as its contemporary overall appearance, the boutique reflects the values the manufactory stands for: technical perfection, modern design, and timeless elegance.
An interactive Brand Experience system guides the visitor virtually through the Saxon manufactory and gives further insight into the timepieces Handmade in Germany.
