The 759-square-foot retail space opened in Mid-March and is expected to operate until August 2021. It will have a selection of watches, including several Astronomia and Twin Turbo Models, and a range of fine and high jewelry. The new temporary store is located in the same wing of the mall as Saks, near Makoto Restaurant.
While Jacob & Co. has other retail outlets in the Miami area, this will be its first branded presence in South Florida. Benjamin Arabov, the recently appointed CEO said the location was chosen because that is where many Jacob & Co. collectors live and vacation.
"South Florida is a melting pot for tourists and residents from Latin America, Europe, and beyond," Arabov said. "It is a dynamic destination and attracts many of our clients and collectors. We are happy to have a place to greet old friends and make new ones."
The new space has many of the interior elements of other Jacob & Co. boutiques around the word, such as high polish black lacquer furniture with chrome accents- In addition, it will incorporate a few details from the previous tenant, Lalique, including a desk, built-in shelving unit.
