A bronze-colored limited series

In 1955, Heuer created the Twin-Time, becoming one of the very first brands to launch a GMT model displaying two time zones simultaneously. Most of the major watch companies went on to develop their own travel timepieces, making GMT an inescapable generic name. TAG Heuer has since incorporated this practical, convenient function – which is as easy to understand as it is to read – into its Aquaracer, Autavia and Carrera collections.

Now the powerhouse of the world’s number one luxury group, LVMH, TAG Heuer has retained its passionate spirit and its attachment to human stories. Last year, for example, its teams got the green light from CEO Frédéric Arnault (a scion of the family that owns the group) to create a special 24-piece limited series commemorating the 24th anniversary of GMT magazine – with which TAG Heuer has enjoyed an excellent relationship since its founding. Never before has TAG Heuer developed such a small series, making this a truly exclusive collab.

A flagship collection that has just celebrated its 60th anniversary, the Carrera was a natural choice for this limited series. Its distinctive features include a bronze dial (normally blue), a blue (normally sil- ver) second hand, a blue (normally red), a dual-time pointer and a blue number 24 under the date. Unusu- ally for TAG Heuer, the GMT logo has been discreetly placed above Twin-Time, a nod to the function to which it refers. On the reverse side, which reveals automatic Caliber 7, the personalization continues with engraved numbering from 1 to 24, a real treat for collectors!
