A compact version of Alpina's ultra-sport concentrate

Nervous and racy. A new, tighter unisex format, four vibrant colours and a high-precision quartz movement. With its cushion-shaped steel case condensed to 34x35.24 mm, the Alpiner Extreme Quartz is offered on a rock beige, sparkling pink, glacier blue or leaf green dial, the first three on a steel bracelet, the last on a rubber strap matching the dial. Four adventurous women in the wind, ready to conquer the outdoors.

Alpina for peace in the home? To avoid any watchmaking jealousy, the brand specialising in the great outdoors has designed a new unisex line within its Alpiner Extreme range. It features three major changes.

A new, smaller case

The first is a new steel case. Previously offered in a single 41x42.50 mm size, it has now been reduced to 34x35.24 mm. More responsive, the power of its "cushion" format, a true aesthetic signature of the Extreme design, now suits all wrist sizes, and can easily be slipped under a shirt for a more urban look.

Despite its sporty temperament, the Alpiner Extreme Quartz has not forgotten its Swiss Made watchmaking heritage. The case surfaces feature the traditional alternation of polished and satin-brushed finishes. The bezel is vertically brushed, in the same direction as the central link of the steel bracelet. The case, meanwhile, has a circular satin finish that follows the geometry of the cushion-shaped case, all the edges of which are mirror-polished. The crown is lightly fluted to ensure a perfect grip. Each screw is engraved with a triangle, in keeping with the Alpina logo. The caseback is closed and screwed, engraved with the symbol of the Alpiner collection and guaranteed to be water-resistant to 10 ATM.

First quartz movement for the Alpiner Extreme

The second major change: a new quartz movement. This is a first for the Alpiner Extreme line, which until now has only been available with an automatic movement. The AL-220 calibre now offers 45 months of Swiss precision, or almost four years. More compact, it is tailor-made to fit effortlessly inside the new, smaller case. It can withstand shocks, outdoor activity, and requires no winding, enabling the Alpiner Extreme line to offer an unprecedented level of accessibility.

It features three luminescent, hand-polished central hands and a discreet date window at 6 o'clock. All the hour-markers are applied and also luminescent, for perfect legibility in all conditions.

A colour palette in homage to the Alps

Finally, the third change: four new liveries displayed on a dial engraved with Alpina's triangular emblem, the symbol of its native Alps, with its typical profile as a counterweight to the seconds hand.

The first timepiece is clothed in alpine land brown, for hiking the foothills of its high peaks. The second is a sparkling pink, a nod to the first light of dawn awakening the mountain peaks. The third is a glacier blue, recalling the depths of high altitude lakes. The last is a leafy green, a reminder of summer alpine vegetation, perfect for hiking - with the special feature for this latest Alpiner Extreme Quartz of having a textured rubber strap like its crown, in the same shade of green.
