From a new Alpine Eagle XL Chrono to a L’Heure du Diamant, there is something to dazzle every kind of watch lover

Chopard never does anything by half, and this Watches and Wonders is no exception with a variety of new creations, each one as beautiful as the next. Let’s start with the sports watches and this eye-catching Alpine Eagle XL Chrono.

Alpine Eagle XL Chrono

This latest edition of the Alpine Eagle XL Chronograph collection has been crafted in an extra-large, 44mm, grade 5 titanium case and comes with a new “Rhone” blue dial (the colour of the River Rhone, whose source is located in the Alps). Although titanium has been employed in two other Alpine Eagle models, this is the first time that it has been used in the chronograph line. With its ruggedness and lightweight, titanium reinforces the sportiness of the timepiece. This new Alpine Eagle XL Chrono is powered by the Maison’s column wheel chronograph movement that has a 60-hour power reserve and includes three patents covering several technical innovations.

Happy Sport

Since 1983, the Chopard Happy Sport has continued to make diamonds dance across its dial with numerous versions in a whole palette of colours, designs, and sizes. For Watches and Wonders 2024, the Maison is welcoming two new 33mm Lucent SteelÔ limited editions in pink and blue with diamond-paved bezels and silver-toned dials featuring a delicate guilloché centre and matching glossy alligator leather straps. The new editions are fitted with automatic movements that have been entirely developed, produced, and assembled in the Maison’s watchmaking workshops.

Imperiale

For lovers of the watchmaking métiers d’art, Chopard is unveiling a brand-new Imperiale model in an ethical 18-karat white gold 33mm case with a mother-of-pearl and enamel marquetry dial and an in-house automatic movement. This model is the result of the talents of numerous artisans, from the making of the case to the movement, the gem-setting to the enamelling and mother-of-pearl marquetry. The dial comes in a magnificent deep blue-green enamel and is rimmed by a raised white gold decorative fillet forming arabesques filled with white enamel. Padparadscha sapphires and pink mother-of-pearl flowers complete this floral delight.

L.U.C XPS Forest Green

The L.U.C. XPS welcomes a new model to the collection this spring with an elegant satin-brushed forest green dial that has been created using a PVD treatment. This model also introduces a new sector-type dial, bringing a vintage touch to this contemporary timepiece. The sector-type dial was popular in the 1930s and features two concentric rings – one for the minutes and the other for the hours. The hour and minute markers have radial lines running between the inner and outer edges of the rings, creating sectors and giving this type of dial design its name. This new L.U.C XPS Forest Green model is housed in a 40mm Lucent SteelÔ case that is responsibly produced (80% recycled steel), while the “Chronometer” inscription is the visual recognition that the L.U.C Calibre inside meets the most stringent accuracy tests from the famous COSC laboratory.

L'Heure du Diamant

The name “L’Heure du Diamant” (or “Diamond Hour” in English) says it all as these two new 26mm models are adorned with 12 brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 2 carats) set around the bezel using the crown setting technique. This type of setting highlights the gemstones by allowing the light to shine through. The timepieces come in a choice of ethical rose or white gold and are fitted with textured mother-of-pearl or malachite dials. Matching the level of craftsmanship, they are equipped with one of the smallest and thinnest mechanical-winding movements on the market today.
