Press release
Hugely popular with the readers of Swiss magazine Montres Passion l'Hebdo, as well as visitors to its website, the Pershing Asteria watch was awarded the highly coveted title of Watch of the Year 2009 by the public, confirming the Parmigiani brand's burgeoning reputation among the general populace.

Created in 2008 to mark the partnership between the highly prestigious Italian yacht manufacturer Pershing and the Parmigiani brand, this collection of ultra-sporty Parmigiani Pershing timepieces takes the ocean as its inspiration, revealing undreamed-of curves while preserving the key elements that characterise the brand: the elegance and classicism which only the expertise of an autonomous watch manufacture can guarantee.
Now, having been awarded the Prix du Public, the Pershing Astéria is testament to the sweeping success of this collection, barely a year after its international launch.
The Pershing Astéria
With its array of original details, the seductive Pershing Asteria in white gold with mother of pearl dial is a sublime poetic expression of the oceanic world. Its delicately nuanced blue dial, enhanced by the chronograph hand decorated with a tiny stylised octopus at one end, reflects the deep, crystal-clear water of the ocean. The small second hand is a starfish which rotates in time with the seconds. Water resistant to 100 metres, it has all the characteristics of Pershing diving chronograph models. Its self-winding movement is produced entirely in the workshops of the Parmigiani manufacture.
