Appearing in a honeycomb geometric structure such as is used in manufacturing the wings of supersonic planes, orthorhombic titanium aluminide finds its place at the very heart of the RM 022 Tourbillon “Aerodyn”.
Born to embody air, space and speed, this tourbillon model is the first time- piece to combine this ultra-rigid alloy with a dual time-zone display in an external titanium structure. This technological revolution also featuring a touch of carbon nanofibres provides travellers with a dual time-zone indication by means of a transparent sapphire crystal rotating disc placed in the dial centre. The hour numerals inscribed on the disc become visible when they move across a light-coloured background at 3 o'clock on this model comprising a complex mechanism driving an ultra-readable display.
