The synthetic leather strap of the splendid Gent is composed of two layers; the black surface with printed golden star-rays is perforated to reveal shiny golden stars. The solid black plastic case frames a perforated dial with three golden stars, each with a white crystal at its centre. The movement is revealed behind the stars, a metaphor of cosmic time and space. Black and gold floral motifs adorn the links leading to the solid black plastic case. The sun bushed golden dial presents a striking variation of the floral motif with black leaves and blossoms set against the golden ground. This elegant Irony Chrono Retrograde features a black alligator pattern leather strap with a double loop. The lustrous black of the case is set off by the contrasting bronze colour of the bezel and buckle; case, bezel and buckle are in stainless steel 316L with black or bronze PVD. The bezel presents engraved black hour markers and Arabic numerals (01, 02 …24). A black rehaut names global cities and places in white or red. The structured black dial features bronze-coloured hour markers and skeleton Arabic numerals with black infills at hours 3, 9 and 12; a white-on-black date aperture at 6 o'clock; three retrograde counters and a continuous seconds counter. The 60-minute and 5-minute chrono counters are labelled (60 and 60 MIN; 05 and MIN 05) and feature bronze scales and white numerals with bronze hands; the 30-second counter presents a black scale on bronze with a slim black central seconds hand; the continuous seconds counter has white-on-black numerals around a structured black subdial and a bronze seconds hand.
