Few numbers are as strongly present in watchmaking as the '8'.

A symbol of infinity and a lucky charm in China, it embodies perfect visual harmony and clearly fits well with the key constituent elements of any watch: wheels. However, to date, no brand had gone so far as to build the movement itself in the shape of an '8'.

This has now been achieved with the Challenge Tourbillon 8. The timepiece features the Maison's 'Challenge' tonneau case, modernized, extensively open-worked and available in rose gold, platinum and sapphire versions. Beating inside this generous exterior is an unusual structure within which the emblematic Cvstos tourbillon, with its Celtic triskelion-shaped upper bridge, sits enthroned at 6 o'clock.

Collectors will also appreciate the gentle frequency of 2.5 Hz, which has become extremely rare. Featuring a ballbearing-mounted tourbillon and a shockproof system integrated into the base of the caliber, this new timepiece is intended for everyday use. A beautiful construction for a brand that is celebrating its 20" anniversary this year.
