The Master of Time

Stellar and stunning.

Words fail to describe this 20-piece limited series, simply named "Métiers d'Art Tribute to the Quest of Time" and inspired by the exceptional "The Quest of Time" astronomical clock. There is no ostentation or technical excess. The timepiece is refined yet restrained. It makes a clear statement: on the dial side, a man whose arms indicate the hours and minutes.

Below, the likewise double retrograde power reserve (six days in all). At 12 o'clock, a large 3D moon. On the back, the sidereal day. A closeup look at this model reveals its many subtle features. It offers two display modes.

In active mode, the time is visible at all times. In standby mode, the arms remain in a neutral position until they are activated by the 10 o'clock pusher. After indicating the time, they return to their neutral position when the pusher is reactivated. The figurine stands at the center of the cosmos, which depicts the night sky in Geneva on 17 September 1755, the Maison's founding date.

The composition is expressed on two superimposed sapphire crystals. The Moon and figurine are made of titanium. Resulting from three years of development, Caliber 3670 designed exclusively for this timepiece comprises 512 components contained within a mere 43mm diameter.
