Women’s watches are on the rise as more brands unveil complicated watches, as well as simply elegant pieces and high designs.

For the past 10 years we have seen more and more watch brands pay attention to the demands of women. Some were slower to rise to the occasion, but luckily by Baselworld 2019, we were seeing some wonderful women’s watches make their way onto the scene. These watches run the gamut from the highly complex, to the ultra beautiful ad even the high jeweled delights. Here we take a look at   five top watches from Baselworld 2019.

Bulgari Serpenti Seduttori

Offering sleek elegance, the new Bulgari Serpenti Seduttori rears its head. At Baselworld, the brand unveils an all-new Serpenti Seduttori watches in rose gold, white gold and yellow gold. The new watches demonstrate the brand’s mastery of gold smiting. Not only are the watches slimmer and sleeker than in the past, but also they feature an all-new bracelet that is sensual to the touch and the eyes. Each link is shaped to resemble the scales of snakeskin, polished and shimmering. Some versions are created in gold without diamond adornments; other versions feature a simple row of diamonds going up each side of the snake-head-shaped case –tapering at the top and bottom. There is also a fully set diamond version that moves from discreet to daring.

Chopard Red Carpet

For those looking for something truly unique that will make you feel like a star, turn to Chopard’s Red Carpet collection. Chopard regularly plays a starring role on the film festival scene, and the brand is known for creating many one-of-a-kind pieces. This year, there are 72 pieces of jewelry and watches in the line up – which focuses on “Love” as the concept. One of the most outstanding pieces is a wristwatch crafted in 18-karat white gold with a small mother-of-pearl and diamond dial at the center surrounded by a cuff bracelet meticulously set with diamonds in an open-worked motif. Set atop and below the dial: two pear-shaped fancy light-yellow diamonds weighing 4.2 carats each. The open-worked bracelet is set with 59 carats of fancy-cut diamonds.

Patek Philippe Ref. 4899/901G Calatrava Self-Winding

Patek Philippe is known for its exceptional craftsmanship both inside and outside of the watch. Thus, this new Haute Joaillerie blue version of the Calatrava self-winding timepiece should come as no surprise. Still, its beauty is breathtaking.  Offering a painter’s palette of blue hues, the 18-karat white gold watch is set with diamonds interspersed with sapphires for depth and dimension.  The lower portion of the dial features blue sapphires in a snow setting, while the upper portion is carved and hand-engraved mother of pearl in a feather motif.  Patek Philippe’s Caliber 240, an ultra-thin self-winding mechanical movement with 162 parts, powers the elegant 35.8mm 18-karat white gold Calatrava. In total, the watch is set with 348 diamonds and 354 sapphires.

Jacob & Co. Astronomia Fleurs de Jardin

For flower lovers: The complex Jacob & Co. Astronomia Fleur de Jardin watch utilizes the highly sophisticated Astronomia movement with constantly moving parts and pairs it with a garden fit for a queen. The dial boasts 11 flowers that bloom brilliantly in amethyst, tsavorites, citrines, garnets, rubies and blue and pink sapphires. The floral arrangement moves around the dial. The 34.55mm watch features a domed sapphire crystal and houses the exclusive Jacob & Co. manual winding JCAM31 movement with 444 parts. It is further equipped with a 60-second flying tourbillon, and features a vertical movement with three arms that make a revolution around the central axis in 10 minutes. The entire caliber is topped by a Jacob Cut citrine with 288 facets. The watch is a unique piece and there is one in blue sapphires and one in pink sapphires as the predominant color surrounding the exceptional sapphire crystal case.

Carl F. Bucherer Patravi ChronoDate

For those who want a touch of color in their lives, along with function, the Carl F. Bucherer Patravi ChronoDate watch may whet your appetite. The watch is powered by a Swiss-made mechanical automatic movement – CFB 1956 -- that offers chronograph functions as well as date indication. Additionally, the 40mm stainless steel timepiece is being offered in pastel pink, sky blue or white, with matching colored mother-of-pearl dials and alligator leather straps. Each watch is set with 56 diamonds on the dial and is sold with an additional strap.
