Baume & Mercier A Timepiece that will Never Go Out of Style
It is impossible to think about Baume & Mercier without the Hampton springing to mind, and there is a reason for that
This watchmaking icon started life in 1940 and has truly stood the test of time. Where many watch brands have been delving into their archives over the last decade in search of design cues, the Baume & Mercier Hampton has been continuing on its merry way, evolving with the times, always staying modern and contemporary.
This new collection of Baume & Mercier Hampton models is no exception. Design is at the forefront of these new models thanks to the work of Baume & Mercier’s in-house design team – The Studio Design – who have imagined a line of Hamptons that mix colours, shapes, materials, and proportions. As always with the Hampton, they have successfully managed to combine classicism and design for a glamourous and minimalist look. Let’s take a closer look.
Milano Mesh Magic
The Hampton Medium (M0A10672) brings back the mesh bracelet to great effect in this new model with a stainless-steel case and opaline, grained silver dial. There is something almost Art Deco about this timepiece with its riveted black ruthenium Arabic numerals, indexes, hands, and black and grey railway track that create an eye-catching geometry. The timepiece is powered by a self-winding movement with 38-hours of power reserve. Turn the watch over, and you can admire the beautiful circular-grained bridges, the sand-blasted and snailed baseplate, and the Côtes de Genève and snailed decorations on the oscillating weight through a port hole in the case back.

Into the Blue
The Hampton Medium (M0A10671) immediately catches the eye with its blue sun/satin-finished dial that contrasts beautifully with the rectangular stainless-steel case and rhodium-plated hands, numerals, and indexes. This model is powered by a quartz movement and also comes equipped with a stainless-steel mesh bracelet.
This mesh bracelet is crafted using long strands of steel that are skillfully weaved together following an Italian bracelet technique that dates back to the 17th century. This kind of bracelet really took off in the 1950s and is again enjoying a much-appreciated revival today.

Black Glam
This larger-sized Hampton (M0A10666) timepiece features an opaline and grained slate dial that brings a touch of modernity to this more traditional watch face. The timepiece is fitted with a self-winding movement that powers the hours, minutes, large date at 12 o’clock, a second time zone and day/night indicator, both at six o’clock. On the case back side, a sapphire crystal window allows the owner to admire the fine finishing on the movement. Completing the elegant look, the watch is paired with a black alligator strap with square scales and tone-on-tone stitching.

For watch lovers looking for a true classic, the Hampton Medium (M0A10670) with a quartz movement is the perfect partner in elegance. With its polished steel case, silvery dial, signature numerals and indexes, and brown calfskin strap with beige stitching, this timepiece is everything we love about the Baume & Mercier Hampton.
