Inspired by the scientific instruments from maritime past, Breguet’s Marine collection continues to grow with new variations that capture the brand’s spirit of adventure and conquest. This new ref. 5527 flyback chronograph model is being introduced together with a three-hand ref. 5517, and a musical alarm ref. 5547, which are now available in rose gold with a slate-gray dial, or in titanium with a blue dial. The new generation Marine collection was launched in 2017 and has been expanding ever since. Like all the pieces in the Marine line, the new ref. 5527 flyback chronograph reinterprets many of Breguet’s recognizable design codes in a contemporary style. The blue sunburst dial features an hour chapter with Roman numerals and luminescent dots, along with the famous moon-tipped Breguet hands in faceted luminescent gold, and a central chronograph hand with subtle marine details. The timepiece is powered by an in-house self-winding movement that comes with a gold rotor and a silicon balance spring and escapement, making it resistant to magnetism. It is fitted with a matching titanium bracelet but also comes on a leather or rubber strap, for all kinds of nautical adventures.
