Sporty-chic elegance spreads its wings

The Alpine Eagle collection welcomes six new 33mm-diameter variations perfectly matching the contemporary look of the Ice Cube jewelry line.

Sporty-chic has been a buzzword in the watch industry for some time now. It refers to watches and jewelry that can be worn in all situations. wheter in the office. on weekends or at formal events, these timepieces are at home everywhere-as indeed are we.

Chopard has mastered the codes of sporty-chic in terms of both jewelry and watchmaking. A style that is vividly illustrated on the wrist through the Alpine Eagle collection launched in 2019 under the impetus of Chopard’s Co-President, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele. That same year, the latter also co-founded the Alpine Eagle Foundation, whose programs have already enabled the reintroduction of the white-tailed eagle in the Lake Geneva area. The aesthetic approach was simple: no frills, sharp angles, flowing lines and dynamic proportions carved in steel or ethical gold and featuring a dial with a sunburst motif for watches powered by Chopard mechanical movements. Initially offered in three 36, 41 and 44mm diameters to suit all wrists regardless of gender, the Alpine Eagle collection is now enriched with six new 33mm references presented in three case variation.

Inspired by mountains

The first option is Lucent Steel A223, Chopard’s exclusive luminous and anti-allergenic steel, twice as strong as conventional steel and produced from 70% recycled materials. The second possibility is ethical 18-carat rose gold. And finally, the two-tone version features a mixture of these two metals. Three variations on the sporty-chic theme, with or without diamonds, complement their contemporary look with dials in colors reminiscent of an eagle’s iris: Aletsch Blue, Bernina Grey, Vals Grey or Pink Dawn. This results in watches whose majestic elegance reflects the beauty of the Alps.

Chopard also leaves nothing to chance when it comes to mechanics, opting for its 09.01-C self-winding movement with a 42-hour power reserve and COSC chronometer certification. A small detail of the utmost importance: it is one of the smallest calibers on the market to receive this official certification. This guarantees flawless precision and exemplary punctuality at all appointments.

Stacking

To honor every rendezvous in (naturally sporty-chic) style, why not combine the Alpine Eagle with Ice Cube jewelry? Their square facets, carefully shaped like ice mirrors, are the epitome of minimalist contemporary elegance. Available as rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings, these creations in ethical white, yellow or rose gold lend themselves perfectly to the inventive game of stacking. Having emerged on social media, this trend invites people to explore new ways to wear jewelry by accumulating and creating inventive mix & match options. Which is serendipitous, as the Ice Cube and Alpine Eagle are a perfect match to create a sporty-chic style (with ethics as an added bonus!) that would thaw even the iciest fashionista’s heart.
