Claude Meylan Légende 88
This new timepiece revisits a full calendar piece in the Légende line.
Claude Meylan has entered the Légende 88 timepiece in the Calendar category of the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève 2016. The watch comes in a 18 carat rose gold case, measuring 40 mm in diameter, and closed by a sapphire crystal on its back. Featuring pure and timeless curves, it is water resistant to 30 m.
The day and month are revealed in two centred windows, at 12 o'clock. At 6 o'clock, an enlarged open sky indicates the moon phase while a slender hand tipped with a red crescent indicates the date. In addition, the chronograph functions remains visible through counters of their own on the sober and elegant dial, dressed in a natural white mother of pearl.
The Légende 88 bridges the ancient solar calendars and futuristic connected items thanks to its original vintage Valjoux 88 calibre, a self-winding mechanical movement offering a 42-hour power reserve. It powers the hours, minutes, seconds, day, date, month, moon phase and chronograph functions and features hand made engraving and cutting.
The timepiece is fitted with a hand stitched alligator strap, with square scales and a gold pin buckle.
Using well-known and highly reliable mechanical movements as its base, Claude Meylan opens up the watch, allowing the wearer to plunge into its microcosm and navigate through it.Find out more >
