Cyrus A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Precision
Focus on the Klepcys Vertical Tourbillon Squelette
To mark its tenth anniversary in 2020, Cyrus pulled out all the stops and attired its Klepcys Vertical Skeleton Tourbillon watch in sapphire for the first time. This ten-piece limited edition that is all about transparency and airy technical sophistication offers a total view of Caliber CYR625, a hand-wound Manufacture movement whose every facet can be admired through the cushion-shaped 44mm case. The most striking element is the central tourbillon cage placed on a vertical axis inclined at 90°. This innovative inclination, highlighted by a double gold arch inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s self-supporting bridge, enables the tourbillon to remain vertical on the wrist in most situations, thus optimizing the accuracy of the mechanism. A stunning sight that is accompanied by exemplary legibility of the indications, with retrograde jumping hours on one side and retrograde minutes on the other, each visible in the dark. The seconds are displayed on the tourbillon cage, while the four day power reserve is positioned at 12 o’clock.
