De Bethune - Double Identity

De Bethune Double Identity

De Bethune had clearly made good resolutions for the new year, as the 2021 new releases ball rolling in a spectacular and innovative way by joining the select circle of luxury watchmaking brands creating double-sided watchesatrices de montres à double face

The DB Kind of Two Tourbillon features two approaches dear to De Bethune, brought together for the first time in a single, perfectly reversible case (and picking up the case middle of the DB29): on the one hand the classic inspiration of its early years with three central hands on a hand-engraved guilloché dial; and on the other a very contemporary and sophisticated design with a tourbillon at 6 o’clock. The De Bethune DNA is clearly apparent with its curved geometric shapes polished on several levels, the deltoid-shaped central bridge, as well as the airy and pleasing overall aesthetic. The tandem is powered by a new caliber, all housed in a perfectly rotating titanium case less than a centimeter thick, delicately hugging the wrist thanks to the famous floating lugs invented by De Bethune and redesigned for the occasion. The only tiny “fly in the ointment” is that production is limited to just ten of these timepieces per year.
