1887 Remontage Manuel - Eberhard & Co.
The « 1887 » Model available in a new blue version

Blue is the official colour of Eberhard & Co. and, as of today, it is also the colour that adorns the new version of the ‘1887’ model.

Equipped with the exclusive EB140 manual-winding calibre, the ‘1887 Remontage Manuel’ timepiece features an architecture specially designed for the Maison of La Chaux-de-Fonds and specific technical and structural specifications.

The movement is characterised by meticulous attention to detail, particularly in the area of the balance-cock and the large gear bridge, both rhodium-plated, with circular waves in the centre and a spiral paper perimeter. The screws are blued and the engravings are gilded.

1887 Remontage Manuel

The ‘1887 Manual Remontage’ is defined by soft lines, for elegant men who do not want to give up a touch of refinement in the choice of their accessories. The steel case, with a diameter of 41.80 mm, houses the blue dial with vintage-inspired ‘Clous de Paris’ finishes, featuring Roman numerals, rhodium-plated indexes and a trapezoidal date window positioned at 6 o'clock. The embossed logo, an integral part of the historical heritage of the Maison, is documented in the archives of the early 1900s. The caseback has a central sapphire crystal zone allowing the EB140 calibre to be seen at its best.

The chromatic uniformity between the dial and the blue alligator strap enhances the charm of a unique timepiece which, by its name, embodies and represents Eberhard & Co.'s strong link with its history and its foundation, created in 1887 in La Chaux-de-Fonds.

In 2019, the Maison has, in fact, strengthened its relationship with its prestigious past, by re-establishing its headquarters inside the historic baroque-style building in the city centre, known as ‘La Maison de l'Aigle’, but also by inaugurating the Eberhard & Co. museum in the same building, so allowing a public of enthusiasts to admire the watchmaking creations that have marked more than 130 years of the brand's history. To mark these important events and further consolidate this return to origins, the internal EB140 calibre was created and integrated in the ‘1887’ model designed for this occasion.
