Following the success of the Fabergé Flirt timepieces launched at Baselworld 2015, Fabergé is introducing a new collection with vivid colours, that can be enjoyed by both men and women. The four new Fabergé Flirt timepieces are black, cobalt blue (with a rose gold case), tangerine and lemon (with a white gold case). A watch featuring a turquoise enamel dial will also be available as well as a new yellow gold bracelet.
The design of the case, inspired by original shapes imagined by Peter Carl Fabergé himself, showcases a ring made of a different material or featuring a different finish from the case itself. The size of the case is in perfect harmony with the strap. The lugs are particularly slender in tribute to the first women's watches designed by Peter Carl Fabergé. The domed shape of the sapphire crystal also provides a link with all other Fabergé timepieces.
The crown reproduces a decorative note once seen on Fabergé cigarette cases and is graced with a moonstone.
The contemporary version of the dial plays on two levels. A sub-dial serves as the basis for a broad skeletonised applique that echoes the original design, while the Roman numerals appear to be deep-set within the watch, just like the heart of the dial itself. Ornamental versions are also available; they feature hand-guilloché decorations and are covered with translucent Grand Feu enamel.
The hours and minutes hands are inspired by the “Breguet” design but their eye is shaped like an egg in tribute to Fabergé’s legendary Egg Objets.
At the heart of the watches beats a self-winding Vaucher Manufacture movement. Eeach component is worked to ensure the greatest possible brilliance. All are decorated with motifs based on objects produced by Peter Carl Fabergé himself. The 22 carat gold oscillating weight is decorated in the Fabergé style.
Fabergé Flirt is now available at the Fabergé Boutiques in London and New York, as well as at Harrods and online at faberge.com.
