Astronomia in speed-of-light mode

Astronomia in speed-of-light mode - Jacob & Co.
Focus on the Astronomia Evolution

Jacob & Co. had already begun to accelerate its Astronomia movement, making it spin on its axis first in 20 minutes, then ten and finally five. Astronomia Evolution is now speeding up once again. Its entire movement revolves in one minute like a seconds hand – with the latter role played by one of the caliber’s three arms. A second arm carries a flying bi-axial tourbillon that is in fact tri-axial since the caliber also turns in one minute and at constant force. The third is a dial, which rotates in the opposite direction to that of the platform in order to remain upright. In the background, Jacob & Co. explores the space metaphor down to the smallest details such as the 18 slightly inclined and perfectly mirror-polished red gold hexagons: a glowing tribute to the James Webb space telescope.
