Focus on the Space Revolution

Mechanical objet d’art or work of science fiction? Louis Moinet continues to push the limits of the watchmaking galaxy with the Space Revolution watch that immediately propels us into a captivating cosmic ballet. The principle? Six elements – two spaceships, two tourbillons and two cages – engaged in continuous motion aboard an impressive sapphire container mounted on a 43mm pink gold frame. Thanks to a completely new mechanism that required no less than three years of development due to its extreme complexity, the two satellite tourbillons rotate in opposite directions at high speed, crossing paths 18 times an hour. The cages rotate in 60 seconds, while the sculpted high-tech titanium spaceships perform a revolution in five and ten minutes respectively. This mesmerizing waltz unfolds on an aventurine sky enhanced by eight handcrafted stages; and to reinforce the exceptional aura of this watch issued as eight one-of-a-kind creations, each one contains a fragment from eight different meteorites positioned in the dial center, under the hands. It’s magic!
