Energy and creativity come together in this new Tambour timepiece, an unprecedented interpretation of the iconic Louis Vuitton watch.
The Tambour Damier Graphite Race is a sporty-chic timepiece combining modern design and watchmaking know-how.
A creative cornerstone of 21st century watchmaking, the Tambour pursues its legendary adventure with true audacity, while remaining faithful to its resoundingly successful original shape.
Its boldness now features a double contrast. Firstly, between the dark grey of the graphite PVD coated steel case and the polished steel horns. Secondly, on the dial, between the Graphite Damier adorning the background, the polished indexes and the fluorescent green accents, a reference to the strikingly intense colour palette of Louis Vuitton's Men's Artistic Director Virgil Abloh. Its identity is preserved through House codes. The architectural dial features a V for Vuitton against a Graphite Damier patterned background. As for watchmaking craftmanship, it remains visible and evident through a smoked-grey sapphire glass caseback, subtly revealing a traditional mechanism.
This new watch is available in two versions: a 41.5 mm diameter automatic model and an extreme 46 mm diameter chronograph. Both designs are fitted with a black or fluorescent green rubber strap that can be switched according to one’s whim thanks to an exclusive Louis Vuitton-patented interchangeable strap system common to all Tambour watches.
