The RECCO® reflector is an advanced rescue technology chip (50mm x15mm x1mm) which Norqain has directly integrated into the strap of the watch. The RECCO® technology allows mountain enthusiasts to be found in the event of an avalanche accident. RECCO® detectors are used by more than 700 organised rescue groups worldwide and enable directional pinpointing of a victim’s precise location using harmonic radar. The Kevlar (extremely resistant synthetic fibre) strap of the timepiece is easy to adjust and can be worn around the wrist or even over a jacket. For the day-to-day life, the RECCO® strap can easily be replaced with a Norqain Nordura textile strap as both straps are equipped with a quick release spring barrel system.
A large dial opening and the domed and double anti-reflective sapphire crystal assure great readability and underline the unique design of the dial with the special Norqain pattern. A striking plate on the left side of the watch allows the Norqain customers, if desired, to add their own personal touch to the watch by having it engraved. Due to the screwed-down crown, this collection is water-resistant up to 100 metres.
Powered by a NN18 movement based on the ETA 7753 and a Norqain oscillating weight, the Adventure Sport Chrono Aauto has a power reserve of 48 hours. This ETA 7753 movement is well known for being one of the most reliable chronograph movements on the market.
The unique case back of this special edition has been designed with the upmost attention to detail, incorporating the #nosnownoshow slogan and Switzerland’s most iconic symbol – the Matterhorn. This sapphire crystal open case back allows customers to admire the fascinating mechanism of the movement.
