Ralph Lauren A new corner of the universe
Introducing the Ralph Lauren Polo Watch.
When Ralph Lauren established his company in 1967, calling it Polo, he had a very particular vision in mind — one that was sporty yet sophisticated. These two values have been manifested in the various collections of Ralph Lauren Watches, from the casual elegance of the Stirrup (with its equestrian inspired case and bold bracelet links) to the rugged glamour of the Safari (dark weathered metal and aged leather). Other collections ventured into the passions of the company’s founder, from Art Deco to motoring. Now, in 2020, the universe of Ralph Lauren Watches is complete, with the iconic image of the polo player atop his pony — that rose to worldwide recognition on the chest of the Polo Ralph Lauren shirt as a symbol of enduring style — finding a permanent home in its own timepiece collection. Introducing the new Ralph Lauren Polo Watch, the long-awaited instalment of the horological story at this emblematic American luxury lifestyle brand.

The inaugural four models of the Ralph Lauren Polo Watch have been designed to set the foundations of this new pillar collection. Stainless steel, to embody the sporting aesthetic and enduring quality of the Polo lifestyle. Lacquered dials, to reflect the innate polish and depth of the Ralph Lauren universe. A variety of straps and bracelets, representing the versatility and effortless style of the Polo Watch wearer. An automatic Swiss-made movement — signifying quality and authenticity on a worldwide level.
On each dial, the polo player, depicted at the precise moment before his mallet swings downwards to connect with the ball, is the epitome of this dynamic and noble sport, applied via 3D printing to impart even the smallest details of his stance, of the pony’s gait. Providing just the right contrast with the dial (which comes either in Ralph Lauren heritage green, blue or black), the polo player and his pony alternate between different colours of cap, jersey and pony leg wraps.

Apart from polished stainless steel, the Polo Watch also comes in a stealthy all-black version, with a PVD coating that gives a more resistant exterior, not to mention a more contemporary, high-tech appearance. This all-black version is also available on an all-black PVD-coated metal bracelet, a monochrome setting that further emphasises the colourful 3D-printed polo player on the dial.
Calf-leather straps and NATO straps (adorned with bold POLO lettering) round out the range of accessories that can be matched with the Polo Watch, but one particularly significant offering is a cotton madras strap drawn from woven fabrics used in the Polo apparel collection — underlining the indelible connection between the watch, the company, and their very first inspirations.
Ever since the Ralph Lauren brand was founded, it has been synonymous with elegance, refinement and timelessness – and the same values are present in the brand’s timepieces.Find out more >
