At the turn of a crown, 24 cities display the sequence of time around the globe and accompany you in journeying through the world of Ralph Lauren.
Inspiration
In 1884, the International Meridian Conference in Washington decided to divide the Earth into 24 time zones, with the Greenwich meridian as longitude zero. In order to enable simultaneous readings of the time in several time zones, watchmakers have since devised and created a number of different horological complications. Among versions ranging from twin hour hands to world-time displays, the Sporting World Time features one of the most sought-after features in the watchmaking industry. With an engraved disc displaying all 24 time zones, the Sporting World Time model also offers a day/night indicator, a power-reserve display and a calendar. From New York to Paris, London to Hong Kong and Moscow to Tokyo, the Sporting World Time evokes the art of travel by allowing its owner to circle the globe at the turn of a crown.

Form & Functionality
The Sporting World Time watch offers a stainless steel version with an elegant yet relaxed look and feel. Enhanced by a bezel featuring six functional screws, this classic model is distinguished by a dial bearing Roman numerals and railroad-style minute track. This timepiece is crafted in a 45 mm stainless steel case water-resistant to 100 meters and fitted with a cobalt blue alligator strap and a matching pin buckle.
Combined with a day/night indicator, the watch simultaneously displays the local time and a second time zone selected from a disc engraved with the names of 24 cities. Its shimmering deep blue varnished dial is enhanced by a bright red second hand.
Beating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and endowed with a 40-hour power reserve, the Caliber RL939 was developed by Jaeger-LeCoultre for Ralph Lauren.
