This wristwatch features a date at 3 o’clock and the day written in full in a large arched aperture at 12 o’clock, allowing the user to read the information at a glance. The hours and minutes are indicated with red gold-plated, regate shaped hands that have been enhanced with SuperLumiNova and point to red gold-plated Roman numerals. The second hand has been crafted out of blued steel and follows a precise minute track that runs around the outside of the dial with red numerals for the “30” and “60” and SuperLumiNova dots to highlight the impair hours for improved reading at night. All these indications are presented on a silvery-white guilloché dial that depicts the lines of the famous Montblanc star.
The 40.5 mm stainless steel case comes with a height of 10.14 mm and includes a refined satin finishing on the outside edge of the bezel and newly designed lugs that offer improved comfort on the wrist. The case is also water-resistance to 50 meters—a first for one of the Maison’s Day-Date timepieces.
The attention to detail in this collection continues through to the high quality movement with Montblanc’s MB 24.18 calibre, whose refined construction and finishing can be admired through an inset pane of sapphire crystal on the case back. To complete the look, Monblanc has chosen a black alligator strap.
