Design Meets Heritage - Vacheron Constantin
Focus on the Traditionnelle tourbillon retrograde date openface

Although openworked dials are rare at Vacheron Constantin, they have been part of its collections for a century. This aesthetic approach is applied here in an extremely contemporary and sophisticated way, with the visible surfaces on both sides benefiting from several types of decoration and manual finishing, such as vertical hand-brushing and guilloché work. This new Watches and Wonders model is also distinguished by its retrograde date display across an arc of a circle, a theme used on several of the brand’s collections this year, and of course by its unmistakable tourbillon shaped like a hollowed-out Maltese Cross. Here again, the watchmaker’s touch highlights the finishes: the inside of the carriage is beveled and the transversal bar is hand-polished, reflecting the same high standards as those applied to the Hallmark of Geneva-certified self-winding in-house caliber with peripheral rotor.
