These awards are to motor racing what Oscars and Césars are to the cinema - the highest possible form of recognition for the year's most remarkable people and events, awarded by their peers.
Le Mans Classic and Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille were finalists in each of their categories and were awarded respectively the Motoring Event of the Year and the Motor Sport Event of the Year prizes despite competition from other well-known racing names: Silverstone Classic, Monterey Motorsports Reunion, Grand Prix de Monaco Historique... and the concours of Elegance: Villa d'Este, The Quail, Pebble Beach, Hampton Court Palace.
Although Le Mans Classic, which celebrated its 7th edition in 2014, had already received prizes in the past, it was the first official distinction for Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille, coming only a few weeks after its first edition.
