“Café Society” is a quite brilliant illustration of this High-Bohemian set that welcomed new forms and that sought elegance and originality. The Café Society collection comprises 87 High Jewellery pieces. In addition, 18 totally new pieces will be presented at the Biennale for the very first time, illustrating Coco Chanel's taste for travel and exoticism.

In its 150-square meter space designed by the American architect Peter Marino, Chanel will also present "The Bird Cage" clock. Inspired by a precious cage holding two lovebirds in mother-of pearl that was placed upon a coffee table in the sitting room of Gabrielle Chanel's apartment rue Cambon, this clock is a unique piece made of 18-karat white gold, set with brilliant-cut diamonds, tsavorites, sculpted moonstone, sculpted pink quartz, rock crystal and grey and white mother-of-pearl.
