At the Biennale des Antiquaires, in Paris, Chanel will present its new High Jewellery collection “Café Society” and "The Bird Cage" clock.

“Café Society” is a quite brilliant illustration of this High-Bohemian set that welcomed new forms and that sought elegance and originality. Gabrielle Chanel would become one of its protagonists, a woman who was free to live, create and love, and who shunned world-weariness with her on-going quest for beauty.

The Café Society collection comprises 87 High Jewellery pieces. In addition, 18 totally new pieces will be presented at the Biennale for the very first time, illustrating Coco Chanel's taste for travel and exoticism.

Engraving, enamels in the “grand feu” tradition, grisaille and chased enamel... with all the unique know-how that, as if in an echo chamber, ricochets, amplifies and enhances that sense of freedom so cherished by Gabrielle Chanel.

The sautoirs, plastrons, brooches, rings and headpieces showcased feature new associations of gemstones and cuts in a unique creative spirit. Engraving, enamels in the “grand feu” tradition, grisaille and chased enamel amplify and enhance that sense of freedom so cherished by Gabrielle Chanel.

In its 150-square meter space designed by the American architect Peter Marino, Chanel will also present "The Bird Cage" clock. Inspired by a precious cage holding two lovebirds in mother-of pearl that was placed upon a coffee table in the sitting room of Gabrielle Chanel's apartment rue Cambon, this clock is a unique piece made of 18-karat white gold, set with brilliant-cut diamonds, tsavorites, sculpted moonstone, sculpted pink quartz, rock crystal and grey and white mother-of-pearl.
