Longines Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Final
During this closing event of the World Cup jumping season, which will be held in Paris, Longines and the FEI will present the Longines FEI World’s Best Jumping Horse and Rider Awards for the very first time.
The 2018 Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Final will take place at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris with Longines as Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch. This much-awaited competition will start on Thursday 12 April 2018 with Round I, followed by Round II on the next day and the Final on Sunday. The participants of this major event have been accumulating the qualifying points during the regional leagues, notably the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Western European League, the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League and the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping China League. The brand will crown the new World Champion and present him, along with the second and third, an elegant Longines timepiece.
In addition, the winged hourglass brand is the Official Timekeeper of the competitions of the FEI World Cup™ Dressage Final. The three best riders of the final of this elegant discipline will be granted a Longines watch.
The 2018 edition of the Finals in Paris will be the occasion for the spectators to discover the Official Watch of the event, the Conquest V.H.P. “Very High Precision” model, representing a new achievement in the field of quartz, combining great precision, high technicality and a sporty look, marked by the brand’s unique elegance. Equipped with an exclusive movement renowned for its high degree of precision for an analog watch (± 5 seconds/year) and its ability to reset its hands after an impact or exposure to a magnetic field, the Conquest V.H.P. positioned itself as the standard-bearer of extreme precision.
For this event, Longines is associated with GL Events and the FEI, two institutions that share its passion for equestrian sport. The three collaborate notably in the context of Equita Lyon, an event of which Longines is the Official Partner, Timekeeper and Watch since 2013.
On Wednesday 11 April, Longines and the FEI will distinguish for the first time the top jumping horse and rider of the year by presenting 2017 Longines FEI World’s Best Jumping Horse and Rider Awards, during a ceremony held at the Mairie de Paris. This celebration night will also include the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Final and the FEI World Cup™ Dressage’s draws.
As part of Longines’ Top partnership with the FEI, the winged hourglass brand is lending its name to the FEI world ranking for riders: the Longines Rankings. The brand is the Title Partner of the three indoor series (Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Western European League, the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League and the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping China League) and the Final of the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping, as well as the outdoor series and the Final of the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™.
