After studying at the Kedge Business School in Bordeaux (he later earned MBAs from HEC Paris and the London Business School, plus a diploma from Stanford Business School), Patrick Pruniaux began his career in 1997 in wines and spirits, working for the Diageo group in the United Kingdom, Africa and the United States. He then moved to LVMH as sales director for Moët Hennessy in Latin America.

While with LVMH he joined TAG Heuer, where between 2005 and 2014 he held positions as director of global exports, vice-president of sales for Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa and vice-president of global sales. In 2010 he became a member of the group’s board of directors.

In 2014 Patrick Pruniaux moved to California, where he joined Apple’s Special Projects team and was involved in the launch of the Apple Watch. In 2015 he was promoted to managing director for the UK and Ireland, and joined Apple’s EMEA Executive Committee. In that capacity he led launches of iPhone, iPad and Mac products with retail, educational and enterprise channels and with telecommunications operators in the UK and Ireland.

In September 2017, Patrick Pruniaux joined the Kering group as CEO of Ulysse Nardin. Since being appointed head of the group’s Swiss luxury watchmaking division in August 2018, he has also become CEO of Girard-Perregaux.
